HOW TO PICK A BLUE PENCIL FOR ANIMATION.

Описание к видео HOW TO PICK A BLUE PENCIL FOR ANIMATION.

IN THIS EPISODE: How to pick a blue pencil to use for animation. We used Light Blue Pencils by Col-Erase back in the day. The company has been bought by a few pencil companies over these 45 years. We had to use the pencils given to us by the sub contractors back then. You had to rub the pencils down as they used to say, which means, rub the drawings with a kneaded eraser to make it easier to darken with a 2B pencil for clean up to pass on to the Xerox department which copied the drawings onto the clear animation cels. The blue pencil would not copy so were safe to use. Now, for drawing animation, if you scan or photograph you drawings for digital compilation, you can manipulate the image to drop out the blue lines. Anyway, go the art store, they have a sheet of paper for trying out drawing implements, see which ones you like. By that, I mean, which ones feel good as you draw on the page. You’ll find a few. In the meantime, keep drawing.
