Opus 88 Demo Stilo & Stile - 1st Inking - Choosing a Green ink

Описание к видео Opus 88 Demo Stilo & Stile - 1st Inking - Choosing a Green ink

This is a "new pen day" video of me showing my new Opus 88 Demo Stilo & Stile Exclusive. This fountain pen is a great high capacity, high quality eye dropper pen with a Broad nib and a handy shut off valve. [My original clear one will now hold a Pilot Parallel nib.] I wanted to choose an ink and unwind from a very busy day of frustrating "home improvement" issues and so I just sort of take you along as I go thru the 4 finalists inks that I chose for this pen. I meant to show you the other 10 or so inks that were considered but I ran out of time so I will just jot the list below in case you want to check those out over at InkSwatch.com
I will do a full review on this pen later on. I ordered this from Italy directly from Stilo & Stile. The first pen they sent never arrived but they were so great and helpful and this pen was sent expedited and got here QUICK! Here's a link to the pen:

I ultimately decided to use off my sample of Scribo Verde Bosco which was perfect because I had just over 3 ml left in the Vanness sample!!!!!
Check out Gourmet Pens (Azizah's) video on putting the Parallel nib unit into an Opus 88 Demo:
   • Opus 88 Koloro Demonstrator + Pilot P...
The other 3 finalist inks were:
Robert Oster Tranquility (my favorite R/O ink and a great teal)
Monteverde California Teal and
Colorverse Laurel
Here is a list of the tiles I meant to show you and some notes:
Colorverse Alpha Centauri (a bit bright for this pen)
Blackstone Daintree Green (I find this ink pretty thick but it's gorgeous)
Pure Pens - Cwm Idwal (not quite enough left in this sample)
Jacques Herbin Vert Amazone (a real contender but my sample has been heavily used)
Taccia Midori (another great one but small sample remains)
Diamine Aurora Borealis (a great teal but I prefer Robert Oster Tranquility)
TWSBI Emerald Green (too light)
Thank you for watching ... this was rather raw. I was frustrated by silly things that don't matter a bit and are merely inconveniences that I can let go of and/or deal with.
Ink always smooths me over and with this beautiful pen to write with ... AND a nice fill that will last longer than my grumpy mood ... who could ask for more!!!!
This pen was worth the wait ... I still can't help but wonder about the first pen ... where on earth it went and what it's life will be now. Hopefully it will make it's way back to Stilo & Stile or to me so I can return it.
