Last Sunday, the 20th of October, I had the privilege of seeing Dream Theater live at the O2 Arena, right next to my home in Greenwich.

They say meeting your heroes can be disappointing, but I can say with all my heart, that wasn’t the case. After their show, they’ve been on my mind all week, reminding me why we love music, and why live concerts matter so deeply.

Dream Theater was a force of nature that night. They stirred something so profound in me that I nearly cried. Their musicianship, their presence—it was beyond anything I could have hoped for. Even my partner, who had never really known them before, was absolutely captivated by the show and couldn’t deny the sheer brilliance of their talent.

Dream Theater’s artistry is on another level. But John Petrucci… man, you left me breathless. Your guitar playing, I have no words. It was epic, a masterpiece. You’re not just a guitar hero, you’re a fountain of inspiration—a true master, not just in the way you play, but in how you compose. Thank you for giving us that stunning, unforgettable show!

Seeing Mike Portnoy up there, I could not agree more with James LaBrie when he said, "History has been made tonight." Mr. Jordan Rudess on the keytar was something else, and John Myung is simply phenomenal.

I can’t help but envy the fans who’ve been, and will be, blessed with your music as the tour goes on. Dream Theater, you’ve touched my soul. I wish you nothing but the best on the rest of your tour.

Thank you,
Your fan,
Mirko
