In 2014, the American Counseling Association (ACA) reported that rehabilitation counselors earn higher salaries and have better benefits than other counseling specialties, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projected the job outlook for rehabilitation counselors to grow by 13% over the next ten years. Hofstra University has two CACREP-accredited Rehabilitation Counseling Master’s programs that prepare students for national certification as a rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and for licensure in mental health counseling (LMHC) in NYS.
