How to make an Alice in Wonderland BALLET wreath (with lights and real pointe shoes!!!)

Here's how I made this Alice in Wonderland ballet wreath. This was made for my dance studios auction after the last performance. I used real point shoes. If you'd like to see how I painted and decorated the point shoes here is a link to that video:    • Painting and Decorating Old Pointe Shoes  

This wreath has flowers painted red, a sign painted to say "We're All Mad Here", playing cards, a paint brush, painted point shoes, fairy lights, a tiny flamingo, a little watch trinket on the bow and I absolutely love it!

It's always a good idea to find a good use for those used pointe shoes that end up lying around. They're so expensive and they make great decorations. So, if you know a dancer 9 times out of 10 they will have them lying around stuffed in a drawer somewhere and I'm sure they'd donate some to you if you don't have any.
