Описание к видео Fall in Historic Franklin, Tennessee (4K Ultra HDR Slow TV Walking Tour)

Fall walk along Main Street in Historic Downtown and Hincheyville Districts of Franklin, Tennessee. Ambient music over 4K Ultra HDR view of the historic homes with informational facts.

Downtown and Hincheyville Districts are listed on National Register of Historic Places. The Town of Franklin was founded on October 26, 1799 and was named after Benjamin Franklin. The town consisted of 109 acres, composed of 16 blocks divided to 188 lots (current Downtown District). The public square was donated to the county where the first two courthouses were built. For the first 180 years Franklin was a thriving center of plantation economy but the Civil War devastated the region (Union troops occupied the area for nearly three years.) In November 30, 1864 one of the last major battles of the American Civil War (battle of Franklin) took place here, turning every home and building in town into a hospital.

Nowadays Franklin is a unique blend of history and progress. You'll find small-town charm and big-city sophistication. There are Civil War sites, museums, Victorian homes and a thriving downtown shopping area.

I hope you will enjoy this walk. Thank you for watching!
