Here I am diagnosing a microphonic preamp tube as the majority of the cause of the squealing parasitic oscillation that is happening in the clean channel of the Carvin Belair 50 amplifier. A trick was utilized to finally diagnose the culprit by switching to the soak channel to make the microphonics come out. While not 100% cured as I believe there are some soldering issues as well in the board mounted tube sockets, it has been greatly reduced! A modern made Mullard cv4004 was used to replace the faulty tube in the V1 position.
