Rubem Farias Trio feat. Jonas Knutsson

Rubem Farias could best be described as one man center for Brazilian music. Equally attentive to melody and rhythm, it’s a carnivalesque fusion that at once has all the sophistication of jazz and all the force of rock. Rubem is one of the greatest gifts Brazil has given Sweden: one of their best bassists, having played with countless of the greats. The second best to experiencing samba jazz in Bahia is encapsulated here. This session is but a miniscule version of what comes alive at longer jams, but hopefully a taste of what should not be missed by music lovers.
