TNTS Surgery: Removal of Brain Tumor | Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad

Endoscopic Transnasal Transphenoidal Surgery is the surgical procedure for the removal of tumours from the pituitary gland. It is performed using an instrument called an endoscope, a thin, rigid tube that has a microscope, light, and camera built into it and is usually inserted through the nose.

TNTS may be associated with certain rare complications during or after surgery, such as bleeding, infections, or reactions to anesthesia. This procedure may also result in a sinus headache and congestion for up to a week or two after surgery. 

Aftercare at home may include pain medications to control headaches, limiting physical activities, MRI scans, and visual testing.
