This is a little day trip I did from Canmore. Buses to Banff then biked on the Trans Canada to the 1A. It was only on my return ride did I realize that I could have saved myself the discomfort of riding on the highway by taking the Legacy Trail instead of the Trans Canada... oh well... riding thunder with the rock haul trucks really gets me going in the morning! If they have a full load and I'm feeling good, I can match pace with them on the steep hills! In any other case, they tend to be a bit faster...

Anyway! I got to the Mt. Cory pull out and started heading up! Another great scramble in the Canadian Rockies! Easily near the top of my list! Cory is on the corner of the block and there is a great 270 degree view of the Bow River and its a great viewpoint for peaks like Rundle, Cascade, Brewster, Castle Mountain and you can see as far as Moraine Lake, Lake Louise and the Wapta Icefield!

If you do not want any of the loose rock or scrambling, head up to Cory's Cap and get almost as amazing a view from the Cap as from the Peaks! ... Almost!
