The 2016 primary real hurt Bernie Sanders due to the fact that not many independents can vote in the democratic party primary. Urging independents to register as a democrat just so they can vote in the primary. So we can give a progressive a chance to win who ever that may be. And so we don't make the same mistakes as 2016.
