The 40 percent silver half dollar years are from 1965 to 1970. in 1970 there was an extremely low mintage of 40 percent silver kennedy half dollars so that is the key date in the set and they are very hard to find. Because every 40 percent silver kennedy is about 1/7 of an ounce of silver I believe that they would be a great piece to barter with in a SHTF situation.
