One of Houston's most celebrated Hollywood movie directors Michelle Mower likes to share her knowledge, wisdom and the challenges of being a director and scriptwriter.
She is the consummate storyteller and as a one of the leaders at SWAMP. the Southwest Alternate Media project she spends countless hours helping young upcoming filmmakers learn the trade.

Mower knows Hollywood is a business in a a male dominated world but she was determined to make it. She began writing at a young age, the rest she had to learn on the way by trial and error like most of us.
Her degree on TV, Radio and Film is from the University of Houston.

She has always been a storyteller, but she knew she needed to learn all aspects of filmmaking so she joined SWAMP with a position in Education Programming and that is where she got her start.
Today after many successful movies primarily in the Lifetime channel she chooses to give back and teach others what she's learned.

Michelle Mower has written 7 screenplays. She is now working on one of her most passionate projects, the story of a bride during World War 2.
