If you have just recently replaced your lower unit seals, pressure checking and vacuum testing your lower unit will allow you to see if all your seals were properly installed.

Doing this before reinstalling your lower unit on your outboard will allow you to save the time and hassle of having to remove your lower unit a second time. This also ensures that you will NOT have any surprises when it comes time to change your lower unit oil! (water intrusion)
