Is Lisbon Worth Visiting?

Absolutely! I think Lisbon definitely lives up to the hype, with friendly people, amazing architecture, and a slower more relaxing lifestyle.

Where to Stay in Lisbon?
Since Lisbon requires a lot of uphill walking, I recommend staying near the center. We stayed at the My Story Hotel, which was the perfect base for our trip.

1. Lisbon is known as the city of seven hills (Bring comfortable walking shoes!!)
2. Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in Western Europe.
3. Lisbon is the capital of Fado music.

Where to Eat in Lisbon?

For Seafood ➡️ I highly recommend Ramiro, which is one of my favorite seafood restaurants. You'll most likely need to make a reservation or arrive early in order to get seated.

For Pastel de Nata ➡️ Fabrica da Nata is the place to go. Grab the port wine and pastry meal deal!

What Neighborhoods Should You Visit in Lisbon?

Alfama ➡️ The oldest district, known for narrow streets and Fado music.

Baixa ➡️ The downtown area of Lisbon.

Barrio Alto ➡️ Bohemian nightlife area.

If you're looking to save money, you'll want to try to avoid traveling to Lisbon in June through August.

Budget hotels and hostels usually cost around 50 USD per day, and public transportation and street food would probably cost another 40 USD per day.
