ROBERT the BRUCE and that SPIDER

Описание к видео ROBERT the BRUCE and that SPIDER

Robert the Bruce and the Spider is one of the most enduring Scottish stories. What's the real story behind the legend?

Legand has it that Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland, when fighting the first war of independence with Edward the 1st of England and losing, went into hiding. While living in a cave he watched a spider trying to spin a web. The spider kept falling but kept trying again, and this would inspire the king to carry on his fight.

But how much of this is true?

Follow my adventures as I travel through the landscapes and history of Scotland. I make quick, quirky and (hopefully) funny content about Scotland's past, people and scenery.

I look for the hidden stories, forgotten people and beautiful scenery of Scotland and try to find the funny in the darkness, obscurity and occasional absurdity of our history.
