During circle time the teacher uses the favorite class puppet, Chicken Nugget, to role play with a specific student. The teacher selects the student who could use a little extra help with this skill. He also chooses the favorite toy that has become an issue during center time. The teacher makes it entertaining while at the same time teaching the social skill. He involves the other students in helping Chicken Nugget solve the problem of sharing the toy that they both want to play with. At the end the teacher talks through and summarizes everything that happened during the puppet show and how they solved the problem. Additionally he tells the children what they're going to do moving forward with sharing and waiting patiently for their turn.
