Killarney, County Kerry - Ireland.



L/S of the main street, there are a variety of vehicles riding up and down including cars, bicycles and a horse and trap. There is a banner strung between two buildings saying 'Killarney Races'. L/S of crowds sat under the stands at Killarney racecourse, other people are walking about in front of it. M/S of a row of bookmakers taking bets, the nearest one has a sign saying 'John Murphy' and the one behind is 'Alf Hogan'. L/S of the racecourse with the hills in the background, the horses are being walked round the enclosure and the crowds are standing round the outside. M/S of a man waving the starting flag and the horses beginning to race, the camera follows them up the course. M/S of the crowd watching the race, one man is looking through binoculars.
