Poets You Should Know Women's Slam Documentary

Poets You Should Know is a poetry community that brings poets together to share, discuss, create and showcase works that are meant to spark critical thinking and speak to the situation of young people in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The PYSK Festival 2020 was a three-day culmination of the year's activities curated both online and offline to be a learning, networking, and showcasing experience for performing poets, visual artists, musicians, social justice actors, public policy analysts, and state officers. The festival leveraged poetry, visual art, dialogue forums, social media campaigns, and community outreach pop-up events to engage young Kenyans on issues surrounding democracy, human rights, and gender equality with the main event being the POETS YOU SHOULD KNOW WOMEN'S SLAM.
