Описание к видео Module 1 - Unit 1: Definition of linear and circular models

This video lesson is part of the BioFarms Training Programme.
The online training programme is asynchronous, meaning that you can follow the lessons at your own pace. It is designed to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from the seven Adriatic countries participating in the BioFarms Cluster project: Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Greece.
The main goal of the training programme is to help SMEs adopt circular economy strategies and innovative solutions for the sustainable use of agricultural residues and by-products.
The training programme is structured into four modules and is complemented by online masterclasses as well as face-to-face training activities organised in each partner country.
The BioFarms Cluster (BFC) is a 36-month collaborative project involving nine partners from:
• four European Union countries: Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Greece, and
• three countries participating in the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) programme: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Albania.
In addition, the project includes 12 associated partners.
The main objective of the BioFarms Cluster is to create a transnational cluster that supports the development and implementation of joint approaches based on Smart Specialisation Strategies in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors.
At the same time, the project promotes technology transfer and capacity building across the Adriatic-Ionian region.
Within the project, BioFarms supports the efficient and sustainable exploitation of agri-food by-products and wild plant species. These resources are used to produce vegetable extracts with innovative applications for the nutraceutical and biopharmaceutical markets.
The technology transfer process covers the entire value chain, from raw materials to final products. To support this process, the project promotes:
• monitoring and standardisation of procedures, and
• the development of new business models.
These actions aim to improve market access, resilience, and competitiveness for at least 35 SMEs.
Seven local Nodes, one in each participating country, act as contact points for the Cluster. They support networking activities, assist Cluster members, carry out marketing actions, and help attract new public and private partners.
The project focuses on key sectors that are essential for the transition to a sustainable economy, including:
• agriculture,
• food production,
• life and food sciences,
• green chemistry, and
• the circular economy.
These sectors play a crucial role in innovation, business development, and social innovation.
The BioFarms Cluster also operates as a living lab, providing real-world environments for:
• ecological and landscape studies,
• testing new methods and tools,
• designing incentives for biodiversity management by farmers, and
• sharing data and knowledge for systems analysis.
The project targets a wide range of stakeholders, including: public authorities, development agencies, universities and research centres, business support organisations, SMEs, and industrial hubs.
The BioFarms Cluster project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg IPA Adrion Programme.
