About 11 000 prepaid electricity meters are still to be reset across the Northern Cape province before the deadline on Sunday.

A total of 164 592 of 175 401 prepaid electricity meters have been reset by consumers and Eskom.

The Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs has encouraged residents and municipalities to ensure that the meters are reset before Sunday.

In Platfontein, over 100 of more than 300 households still need to convert their meters.
