Power Steering Hose Replacement 2002 Honda Odyssey

Описание к видео Power Steering Hose Replacement 2002 Honda Odyssey

This is a detailed video of my procedure for replacing the power steering high pressure line on a 2002 Honda Odyssey. After developing a leak at 178,000 miles, I suspected the power steering pump and performed an overhaul on it as can be seen in one of my other videos. As it turns out, the high pressure line is where the leak was coming from. So I replaced it and the leak is gone!

There were two challenging parts to this project. The first was removing the flare nut that attached the line to the steering rack. I decided not to risk it with a regular wrench and purchased a flare nut wrench set, or sometimes called a line wrench set. That did the trick handily. Second, it took a while to work the old and new lines through the engine bay and around the frame components. Patience is the key for those steps.

Though there are cheaper aftermarket parts for doing this, I went online and purchased a genuine Honda power steering line from BernardiParts.

With the right basic tools and some patience, it is not a very difficult job.
