Madang Teachers Petition

Teachers in Madang Province from elementary to Secondary schools withdrew from duties since last week Wednesday after one of their colleagues suffered a brutal attack and died later at the Modilon General Hospital.

Head Teacher of Meiro Primary School John Azagoni was brutally attacked three weeks ago at his home by Meiro settlers and succumbed to his injuries last Tuesday.

Teachers are now concerned about their safety and welfare and petitioned the provincial government to look into various issues highlighted in the petition.
