The Red Mercenary is one of the harder/hardest abnormality battle since she needs to get the killing blow otherwise she'll go berserk and beat you down. The easiest way of dealing with it is by reducing the wolves stats low enough that Red Mercenary can beat all of it. Normally I would run first turn debuffs but that will affect the Red Mercenary and the start of fight debuffs is a coin toss on who its going. With that I spammed Forceful gesture to get the debuffs of and get over the massive rolls into mass light regain to maintain it. At the end of the fight when the wolf is at 50 hp, I let Red take over attacking and try to get her the strength buff she needs by tanking her mass attack. Having slash resistances help for that and the wolfs mass attack.
This was done in order for the nuzlocke run since i'm making 1 rule harder of I must complete each tier of the game before advancing. This includes abnormality battles!
