Star Stable Online , sometimes abbreviated SSO , is an adventure game created by the Swedish game developer Star Stable Entertainment AB . In Star Stable, the player gets to experience various adventures and events on the island of Jorvik, but also take care of their horses and chat with other players online. Star Stable is based on the Starshine Legacy games that were released as offline games in the early 00's. In 2017, Star Stable had between 400,000 and 500,000 players each month with over 12 million registered accounts.

Playing the first levels of Star Stable is free, but for higher levels a paid version is required.

In the game there are many NPCs that can hand out missions, and simpler daily missions that give the game character a better reputation, which in turn unlocks more missions and possibly clothes / equipment.

STAR STABLE is a virtual horse-riding game that lets players both young and old care for a horse of their creation. Players choose and customize a girl avatar before selecting from a variety of horses to ride off into the sunset. You'll saddle up and explore the mystical island of Jorvik, which is expansive and takes time to navigate. The island has its fair share of quirky characters, and many will need your help to get a task done or finish a quest.
