After three unforgettable weeks exploring Hungary’s towns and countryside, it’s time to say goodbye. My journey ends with an overnight train from Békéscsaba to Bucharest, Romania, a 14-hour ride I found after researching Hungarian State Railways and their Hungary-Romania train network map. Békéscsaba is just a short distance from Doboz, the village I stayed in for my last episode, so it felt like a fitting starting point.
