Today I'm comparing two of my favorite setting powders. Laura Mercier has been my go to since I started really getting into makeup about 6 years ago. It has never ever failed me and plays well with just about every foundation and concealer I've tired. It wasn't until this year that I began to try new setting powders.

I tried the OneSize Ultimate Setting Powder out of curiosity. Patrick Starrr is know for his over the top setting powder routine and I wanted to see if his product would live up to his critiques of others. I was actually shocked that I loved this powder so much.

Since the OneSize setting powder only comes in a deep and translucent shade those are the two shades I used in the Laura Mercier setting powder as well to make it fair. I prefer to use the two shades mixed together vs. separately. Immediately I noticed that the Laura Mercier felt a bit smoother but looked much lighter on my skin vs the OneSize Ultimate Setting Powder. In the end, both looked great and I couldn't pick a clear winner as both performed so well! The only real difference here is Laura Mercier has 3 shades vs 2 and I prefer the OneSize packaging to prevent wasting product. But as for the product itself, both are about equal.
