Try this before a power wash on your Chromebook.

If you've come across problems previously with your Chromebook you may have been tempted to do a powerwash. There is nothing wrong with doing a powerwash, but it's essentially a factory reset, and this includes deleting any user accounts and files you have stored locally on your Chromebook.

You may encounter many different types of issues when using your Chromebook. The most likely cause is unwanted notifications or issues with your WiFi.

You now have the option to do a safety reset, which is a step down from a full-on powerwash. The great thing about a safety reset is that it does not delete any files, and all user accounts are kept intact.

This is a really quick way to try and resolve minor issues you may be experiencing on your Chromebook. In this video, I'll show you how to do a safety reset on your ChromeOS computer.
