Cannon Film's Spider-Man | Retro VHS 1980s Trailer.

Описание к видео Cannon Film's Spider-Man | Retro VHS 1980s Trailer.

A fan-edited VHS movie trailer for Cannon Films’ cancelled Spider-Man film. After Cannon Films’ Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus bought the film rights to Spider-Man, they weren't aware of the comic book character, and misunderstood Spider-Man as a similar concept like “The Wolf Man”.

It was intended to be a horror film directed by Tobe Hooper and written by "Outer Limits" creator Leslie Stevens, until Stan Lee ended Cannon's bizarre concept of his creation. Cannon Films focused on developing a more faithful adaptation before Carolco Pictures bought the Spider-Man film rights in 1990 and the project was being developed by James Cameron.

In Cannon Films’ version: ID-badge photographer, Peter Parker, would've been experimented and transformed into a giant six-armed spider by a mad scientist named Dr. Zork, who had a basement laboratory filled with his mutant creations. Parker would've gone suicidal after dealing with himself looking like a monster and he would have to fight Zork's creations, after refusing to join the scientist's master-race of mutants.
