It is estimated that around 60% of care is in line with evidence- or consensus-based guidelines, 30% is wasteful or low value, and 10% is harmful. This has been the case for decades.

The way forward is to take a Learning Health Systems approach and collaborate to identify and address stakeholder problems including through
- Evidence from Stakeholders
- Evidence from research and guidelines
- Evidence from practice/ data
- Evidence from implementation and complexity science integrated with health care improvement

Governments nationally and internationally are adopting Learning Health System approaches, however exactly what this means at the frontline and understanding how to implement these approaches is challenging.

The event outlined Monash Partners evidence-based Learning Health System Framework with examples of adoption and learnings and covered key actions required to drive improvements in healthcare and outcomes by 2030.
