Painting a REALISTIC German Shepherd DOG 🐕 with Pastels ▶ Realistic Pet Portrait by Patricia Otero

This is how I paint a realistic German Shepherd with black shiny fur, and a realistic Kelpie with brown fur using soft pastels, pastel sponges and pastel pencils on Pastelmat Board.
These are Miss Bossie and Jack, a Black German Shepherd and a Kelpie. This was a commission for one of my clients in Australia 🇦🇺 of her two dogs. The size of the portrait is 40x60cm and it was done using the pastel technique on Pastelmat Board (Clairefontaine). This portrait was recorded throughout several weeks, these are just short snippets of the whole process. I hope you enjoy watching me paint as much as I enjoyed creating this Artwork.

(For those asking why I have the same clothes throughout the video, I use painting clothes, just like some people wear a uniform for work, I have my uniform for painting. It usually consists on an apron, black clothes and/or jeans.)
