This season Events Hakuba partnered up with Icelantic skis Japan for the Hakuba Photo Contest. Icelantic Japan generously agreed to offer a pair of brand new icelantic skis to this years winner. Be sure to click on the link below to enter the contest.


Meet Ruka, He's 16, a Hakuba Local and Icelantic Japan's team rider. Did we also mention he's on the Japan freeride team, and an epic skier. I got to do a few laps on the hill with Ruka and have a chat on the lift. Amazing skier and cool all round guy, and working hard on his dream of becoming an Olymipc athlete.



Hakuba 47 is Ruka's home mountain, we couldn't go 5 feet without another skier saying hello. While filming Ruka even took the time to give a few pointers to some of his younger fans who were also giving it all they had at the park.
