FLOAT FISHING FOR BARBEL

We're back on the river again, this time float fishing for Barbel. I've been doing more float fishing than usual this season, particularly on the river for all sorts of species. In this video we look at trotting, using Korum Blobs and the new Speci Sticks with large lumps of meat, to hopefully lure a large Barbel. We catch a few nice fish along the way and talk float tactics. When it comes to Winter we'll continue this trotting, but with smaller floats and maggots to try and keep the bites coming as it gets cold. The nuisance fish won't be as much of a problem then, so I look forward to maybe releasing another video then.

Many people feel they need expensive rods and centrepin reels for this type of fishing but hopefully this demonstrates that you can potentially use what you've got already, get out there and catch some Barbel on the float!
