Vegan activists pour milk over Selfridges cheese counter

Activists from the climate group Animal Rebellion have staged protests at high-end London department stores Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason.

Video released by the group showed two protesters pouring out milk taken from the shelves of the shops on Friday.

In footage from Selfridges, the pair could be seen pouring milk onto a display of cheese.

Animal Rebellion said the activists had staged the protest “to highlight the need to transition to a plant-based food system”.
