The proposed site located in Tha Chalom District, Samut Sakhorn Province in Thailand specifically the site is near to Ban Laem train station, the one & only famous spot the tourists ever known in a whole island. Tha Chalom is a circle form island that has lots of historical site and temple, there are surrounded by Tha-Chin river that stands for Thailand-Chinese. The people here have an identical history that is a mixed-culture between that, which also influences their daily life like works, style, interacting with others, building structure, elements and many more.

My propose design development is to rebranding the local identity using Place Making theory to mapping the spirit of place with the Phenomenology approach. The first scenario is re-designing an abandoned train warehouse building to be used to an art exhibition space and cultural stage to accommodate the local community needs to introduce their mother-earth spirit to the tourist that have a little bit of time to explore, before their going to Maek Long market by train.

The second is open access to the river-front area to explore the fishery ambiance of Chalom, integrating by a radial sky walk-way to exploring the locals and also the tourist can feel the ambiance of the local life of Tha Chalom community in some tower along the promenade walk.

The Third is to set up Tha Chalom island from a little dot space to be a more resilient site to prevent flooding that threatening the island. In daily, the site is functioning as a public park to get fresh air and workout. When the rainy season, space will be a rain garden for the public to have a romantic moment when drinking in a Tea House to enjoy a glass of Thai tea and directly viewing the river, and when flood-come to the island the resilient site will be a catchment area to prevent flooding.

After exploring some or even all of the space, the tourist will get a memorable experience when exploring In between Tangible and In-tangible spatial sequences and can invite others or return to the Tha Chalom to defining the new history.
