CFNY Canada Day Festival, July 1, 1991 - Spirit of the West

Spirit of the West as recorded live by YTV from the 5th CFNY Canada Day Festival. Over 30,000 people showed up annually at Molson Park in Barrie for a full days line-up of mostly Canadian bands. Hosted by CFNY personality Dani Elwell and YTV's Laurie Hibberd and Michael Q. Dani is still in broadcasting, most recently at Jazzcast.ca, Laurie Hibberd, now a US TV personality, married Gelman, producer of Live with Regis and Kelly and Michael Q(uast) is a VP of a technology company.

Spirit of the West singer, John Mann, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's a number of years ago. In tribute, On occasion the Canadian music family come together for Alzheimer's society fundraisers in the name of Spirit of the West.
