JAWS (1975) MOVIE REACTION - NO WONDER THIS IS A CLASSIC! - FIRST TIME WATCHING - REVIEW

Welcome to our first-time reaction to Jaws (1975). Jaws is known for being the iconic thriller that redefined the summer blockbuster. The masterful direction of Steven Spielberg makes this movie incredibly suspenseful and honestly quite effective in delivering a horror feel even for todays standards.

Of course as film fans and lovers of good cinema scores we had to shoutout the haunting score by John Williams. Not only is it iconic but now seeing the context and how it was utilized makes it even more terrifying!

The performances by Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss was incredible! Not only did they have great on camera chemistry but they were able to move the plot forward while delivering highly emotional dialogue! (Yes, that monologue in the Orca was perfect!)

After watching it is very clear that the film has had an impact on the horror genre. But it's the use of practical effects that really impressed us (technical malfunctions and all)

Growing up going to beaches very similar to the ones in Amity Island I can confess we'll be thinking twice before diving in!

Now we are amongst the many that understand why Jaws is a timeless classic. We hope you enjoy our movie reaction, review and discussion. We wanted to do something fun to celebrate shark week!
