Israeli and Palestinian diplomats continued deliberations in Cairo on Wednesday, in order to make a deal before the current 72- hour ceasefire expired.
Neither side had many any official comments on progress in the talks, and the cease-fire, set to expire Thursday at midnight. However, Palestinian sources said early
Wednesday morning that Egypt presented the Israeli and Palestinian delegations with a plan for a long-term cease-fire.
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman publicly urged Israel not to accept a deal that does not meet all of its demands, including the return of two IDF soldiers
bodies.
Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon on Tuesday told Israel's armed forces to prepare for a possible resumption of hostilities in Gaza as a new 72-hour ceasefire was
nearing its end.

A Turkish pro-Palestinian group said on Tuesday that it plans to send aid ships to Gaza to challenge the Israeli blockade.
The new mission comes four years after Israeli commandos stormed a flotilla bound for the territory and killed 10 turks aboard.
Activist Dror Filer said the mission had two main goals.


Despite the ongoing military conflict between Israel and Hamas, more than 300 new immigrants arrived at Ben Gurion airport on Tuesday.
The immigrants, who come from the United States, were greeted by political figures and were praised for making aliya during such a difficult time.
