What Are The Best Team Building Activities For Work?

Have you been wondering what are the best team building activities for work? In this video, I'll share some of my favorite exercises for effectively building trust and creating authentic connections with your fellow team members!

5 Key Behaviors Of A Team
1. Build trust
2. Start to trust each other
3. Make decisions together
4. Hold each other accountable
5. Perform

4 Stages Of A Team
1. Forming - where everyone's coming together
2. Storming - where friction arises; you'll need a leader to start doing team building activities to pull the team together
3. Norming - when people start to trust each other
4. Performing - when the team is connected and starts following the goal, not the leader

Positive Comment Exercise:
Purpose:
--Connect the team
--Build trust
Time:
--10-15 minutes
Instructions:
--Provide instructions to the group
--Put everyone in a circle around the room or table
--Decide of you want to go clockwise or counter-clockwise
--Have one person at a time say what they appreciate most about the person to their right
--Ask the receiver to say, "Thank you."
--Continue around the room until everyone has given and received a positive comment.
Debrief:
--Ask the team what their reflections are.

--Consider doing this in the future when the team needs it.
