The world's biggest songwriters festival is in full force in Nashville this week.Over 350 songwriters will perform at 90 shows at 10  venues throughout Nashville over the next few days.Including at Hard Rock Cafe where country singer Josh Turner and several other songwriters performed earlier this evening.That's the neat thing about this event being in Nashville, a lot of country stars in this city started out as songwriters, so you have some pretty big names that jump on one of the 10 stages over the next five days.Another example is country star Luke Bryan, who is also part of the lineup tonight at Hard Rock and Dierks Bentley is part of tomorrow night's show here.It five days of fun that both songwriting newcomers and legends look forward to all year long."I get excited about it every year. When I first moved here in college I wasn't playing the shows, so I would get a pass and couldn't wait to see all these writers I looked up to that were my heroes. It's cool that all of them come here just for this one week" says Luke Laird. Laird is certainly a songwriting success story himself.He has written numerous hits for stars like Carrie Underwood. In fact, he just celebrated his ninth number one hit earlier this afternoon just down the street at CMA. This time around it was for the Chris Young song "You". Young and Laurd wrote the song during their first songwriting session together. This marks Laird's 9th number one hit. Young says the song, which is his dad's favorite on the new album, just has what it takes to make it to the top of the charts."It has a different feel than anything on my record.
