Join me as I tackle the toughest questions from the new Class9 math syllabus—let's see if I can solve Exercise Question1 Parts5 and6!
Welcome back to my channel, where we dive into the latest school math syllabus. Today, we're focusing on a crucial part of the Class9 math curriculum that will definitely appear in your 2025 exams. Exercise Question1 from Parts5 and6 can seem daunting, but don't worry, we'll break it down together.
The problems we'll be covering today are quite interesting. In Part5, we have questions related to linear equations and their graphical representations. Meanwhile, Part6 deals with some really thought-provoking questions on quadratic equations and their solutions. Let's start with the first problem from Part5: solving a linear equation using substitution method.
This equation seems straightforward, but let's see how it plays out. We'll substitute x = 2 into the equation 2x + 5y = 11. By doing so, we get 2*2 + 5y = 11, which simplifies to 4 + 5y = 11. From here, we can isolate y to find the solution.
Moving on to the next problem in Part6, we encounter a quadratic equation: x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0. This one requires factoring to solve. By finding two numbers that multiply to 6 and add up to 5, we can rewrite the equation as (x + 3)(x + 2) = 0.
One problem that often gives students a hard time is solving quadratic equations with complex roots. For instance, the equation x^2 - 4x + 5 = 0 doesn't factor easily. We'll use the quadratic formula: x = (-b ± √(b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a, where a = 1, b = -4, and c = 5.
The quadratic formula can seem intimidating, but let's plug in the values. We get x = (4 ± √((-4)^2 - 4*1*5)) / 2*1, which simplifies to x = (4 ± √(16 - 20)) / 2. This further simplifies to x = (4 ± √(-4)) / 2.
Wrapping up today's session, we've covered some key problems from Exercise Question1 Parts5 and6. These techniques are essential for your upcoming exams, so make sure you practice them thoroughly.
