‘Not climate action, but biodiversity vandalism’: Environmentalist calls out wind farm hypocrisy

Environmentalist and photographer Steven Nowakowski has called out the hypocrisy of wind farms.

The former Greens candidate and co-founder of Rainforest Reserves Australia, Mr Nowakowski has led campaigns against the wind farm for three years.

The avid environmentalist discussed the hypocrisy of destroying natural landscapes in order to save them with Sky News host James Morrow, Rita Panahi and Rowan Dean.

“This is not climate action, but this is actually biodiversity vandalism,” Mr Nowakowski said.

“Nuclear is the no-brainer.

“It's the silver bullet that we require and I firmly believe that by simply swapping out retiring coal plants with nuclear for like for like that's the cheapest, the easiest solution and we can meet our targets that way and it has the least impact on biodiversity.”
