Recovery from the prolapse surgery depends on the type of the surgery the patient has undergone. Usually if the cystocoele or the bladder repair is not done the patient’s catheter will be removed after 24 hours. We will ask to mobilize and the patient may resume normal day to day activities by 1 week. However we advise not to lift heavy weight or do strenuous physical work for about 2 to 4 weeks and coital activities has to be assumed only after 6 weeks.
