Ukrainian Ground Forces demonstrated coordinated tactical actions and took control of a mock command post in an urban environment. Distinguished visitors met with leadership of the multinational Ukrainian-American military exercises Rapid Trident 2021 and Ukrainian press Sept. 24, 2021 at the Combined Arms Collective Training Facility near Yavoriv, Ukraine. Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, and Colonel-General Mykola Balan, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, were in attendance alongside U.S. Army Col. Michael Hanson, co-director of Rapid Trident from the U.S. Army.
