A recommendation engine is a type of data filtering tool using machine learning algorithms to recommend the most relevant items to a particular user or customer. It operates on the principle of finding patterns in consumer behaviour data, which can be collected implicitly or explicitly.

A recommendation engine is a system that suggests products, services, information to users based on analysis of data. Notwithstanding, the recommendation can derive from a variety of factors such as the history of the user and the behaviour of similar users.

Recommendation engines can sense what the user requires and quickly recommend items as per their tastes. Apparently, AI product recommendation systems may become options of search fields for most eCommerce stores since they help shoppers find products and content they might not find in another way.
