Kolizar tukra is a Bengali village based a family drama. Imran and Hena were a couple who married for love. However, their married life was soon struck by one disaster after another. Three times Hena became pregnant, and all three times, the children died in her womb.
This string of tragedies broke Hena mentally. Imran, too, became helpless—caught in the agonizing space between his love for his wife and the harsh reality of their losses.
In this household, Hena’s greatest enemy was her mother-in-law. Because Imran had married of his own choice, his mother had refused to accept Hena from day one.
When the situation became unbearable, Hena’s aunt came to visit. She was a practitioner of traditional healing and occult sciences (Kabiraj). After hearing everything, she reached a terrifying conclusion: these were not natural accidents; they were the result of black magic.
Through her calculations and spiritual signs, the aunt confirmed that this dark magic was being performed by someone very close to Imran, someone living in the same house. There were only a few people in the house—Imran’s parents and a domestic helper. Who could be the suspect?
What followed was a nightmare of misunderstandings. Distance grew between the husband and wife, the bond between mother and son became strained, and the entire family was consumed by unrest. Eventually, the truth the aunt had warned about came to light: the true mastermind behind the black magic was Imran’s mother herself.
But Imran still couldn’t be convinced of this truth. On the contrary, he reached a breaking point and decided to divorce Hena.
Hearing this, Imran was devastated. A wave of hatred for his mother, guilt for his wife, and deep remorse crashed over him. He severed all ties with his mother. Taking Hena with him, he left the house forever.
Finally they returned and disclose all the hidden story and apologise each other.
