I just started working at Friendly Ford, and while getting settled in and touring the dealership, I noticed something wild—there’s an insane amount of inventory, especially trucks. Rows and rows of them. Plus, a ton of 2024 models still sitting on the lot. Coming from Honda, this is a huge difference. Over there, CR-Vs, Accords, and Civics flew off the lot, with barely any 2024s left.

So, what happens when a dealership struggles to move inventory? Big discounts. I’m already seeing markdowns as high as $10,000 off, like on Ford Expeditions. Some models, like the Explorer, are still selling well, but trucks and Broncos? There are plenty, meaning amazing deals for buyers.

The real issue? Truck prices have skyrocketed—$40K trucks with no V8s, some without 4x4. Dealerships and manufacturers both play a role in this. I remember when I bought my Scat Pack Widebody—it was $52K at the time, but now? Over $60K MSRP.
