See how to make a heavy duty beach sand scoop for metal detecting. This homemade treasure scoop for metal detecting is made from scrap rectangular aluminum tube and stainless steel tubing from an old boat that I had laying around. There was no need to weld the aluminum, because I used my Alumite aluminum brazing rods. The scoop works fantastic for coins and jewelry. Enjoy!
