Electro-Harmonix Small Stone v Bad Stone: Which is the swirled champion?

I used to wonder why EHX bothered making two phasers that seemed so alike. But lock them in a room together and it soon becomes clear they're quite different - in sound, and even more so in functionality. Which do you prefer?

A couple of things I haven't explored in this video are the Small Stone in 'color up' mode at slower speeds (a bit throbby); and the Bad Stone with feedback cranked (a bit extreme).

Historical note 1: This is one of the last Small Stones before they changed to that grotesque 'psychedelic' design. I'm pretty sure it's the same circuit.

Historical note 2: I used to have an original big-box Bad Stone - it sounded 1% sweeter than the original, but was 10% more hissy.
