Trains at Clapham Junction [CLJ] EVENING RUSH HOUR! - SWML/BML (May & June 2022)

Ohh yes!! Time for another ground-breaking National Rail station. This time, Clapham Junction, located in South-West Battersea, operated on the Southwest Mainline (SWML), alongside the Brighton Mainline (BML). As I'm sure many of you know, Clapham Junction has always been classified as the busiest railway station in Britain, with trains passing and entering the station, every few seconds, with over a thousand daily, which is insanity! This is clearly giving emphasis as to how big the station is, not only due to its major interchanging factor, but also the fact that a lot of trains are run here.

These were some evening shots I had gathered, featuring many of the 455s on the SWR, and I believe two 455s on the Southern, captured a day before its final time of operation. Unfortunately, did not see a lot of 707s on the SWR, so my assumption is they are still slowly being phased out from the network, as they are being replaced by new 701s. Also, 455s on the SWR are expected to become fully withdrawn, by the end of this year, I believe. Other highlights include the super-fast Gatwick Express trains whizzing through the station, operated with epic 387s! There is plenty of variety here even though it did get a little dark, later on, but I'm sure you will still enjoy the film, nevertheless!
